Businessman Jimmy Alvarez has teamed up with fright experts Nadia Hatter and "Zombie" John Jones in an attempt to deliver one of the top 10 scariest haunted houses in the entire nation. Alvarez and his staff has spent many months and countless hours to ensure that all who dare to enter will leave having had an unquestionable spine-chilling experience. The Asylum has almost 100 volunteers that have been professionally trained in everything from acting and costumes to makeup and set design. That is one of the key factors that set the Amhurst Asylum apart from the competition.

Amhurst Asylum is set to depict the story of a very disturbed Dr. Amhurst and the cruel and unusual experiments that he performed on his psychiatric patients in an attempt to save his dying wife. The 23,000-square-foot, all-indoor spook house offers over a dozen rooms of shear horror that are guaranteed to frighten even the most skeptic of visitors. According to Nadia Hatter, this attraction "is not for the weak of heart or stomach." Guests will move from room to room interacting with the slew Dr. Amhurst's unlucky victims that continue to haunt the abandoned building.

Area haunted houses, including the Amhurst Asylum will be closing their doors for the season on Monday, October 31.
