INDIANAPOLIS, IN, August 09, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- For the second straight year, Painted Axe has received a commission from the King Biscuit Blues Festival, Oct 6-8 in Helena, Ark.
"Once again, we can't thank Munnie Jordan and the King Biscuit Blues Festival enough for renewing their commission," said Michael Gauf of Painted Axe. "Last year's 25th Anniversary guitar was an incredible success. Since the festival regained use of the "King Biscuit" name, we are planning something equally special.
"With Buddy Guy, T-Model Ford, Hubert Sumlin and others on the bill, the 2011 theme will pay homage to the blues musicians of the past. We will draw on the street performers and Arkansas's most popular and prolific blues performers of the early and mid 1900s ."
Painted Axe specializes in custom-painted guitars and gear. Its clients include John Lee Hooker Jr., Ronny North, Kerri Kelli, Jon Justice, Jay Goldberg Events, Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise, King Biscuit Blues Festival and more
