INDIANAPOLIS, IN, April 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Broad Ripple High School (BRHS) Golden Singers Alumni Chorus will perform the National Anthem Friday, May 21, at 7:15 p.m. at Victory Field when the Indianapolis Indians meet the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.

Operating under the direction of Mrs. Lucinda Paul, former BRHS music teacher, the Alumni Chorus engages in ongoing fund-raising efforts to benefit the Broad Ripple Magnet High School for the Arts and Humanities. Proceeds from Alumni Chorus performances are donated to the Gene. R. Poston Legacy Foundation, named in honor of the retired BRHS Department Head for Instrumental and Vocal Music.

Foundation funds raised through performances at local venues have been donated to purchase a rolling percussion cabinet for the BRHS band; assist with the cost of musicals; and assist individual students.
