DRG to host instructional Webinar series for craft marketers
DRG is sponsoring a Webinar series, taught by leading Internet advertising strategist Dan Ambrose. The first session is set for Thursday, March 18, at 1 p.m., and is open to marketers interested in learning more about Internet advetising.

BERNE, IN, February 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- DRG, nationally-known for its print and Web-based craft and nostalgia publications, is sponsoring a Webinar series teaching advertisers how to make Internet advertising pay.
The program will be taught by Dan Ambrose, a leading voice in Internet advertising strategy, and his colleague, David Fales, who formerly ran his own advertising agency and managed Internet sales at consumer and B2B companies.
The Webinars, provided free to craft marketers, are designed to help business owners and advertising staff spend their marketing dollars more efficiently by better understanding how to measure, track and value a range of different Internet marketing tools. Marketers who are wondering where to start will benefit, along with those who have an established Internet marketing program.
Capacity is limited. Interested participants may register at www.DRGNetwork.com/webinar.
Attendees will learn the fundamentals of Internet marketing, advancing to more complex techniques to create a cost-effective advertising campaign spanning months and multiple delivery methods. The six-part Webinar series will begin with an overview of Internet marketing practices followed by five separate specialized sessions on "Valuing and Measuring Internet Advertising," "Search Marketing and Advertising," "E-mail and Lead-Generating Marketing," "Sponsorships," and "Using Social Media." The kick-off session, "First-Things-First," will be held Thursday, March 18. Following that, sessions will be held every two weeks through May 27. Each session will begin at 1 p.m. EST and will last for an hour.
Ambrose launched ambro.com in 1994 to provide strategy consulting and advertising sales training to advertising-driven media clients in the United States and abroad.
Ambrose and Fales will be joined by craft marketing expert panelist Jon Rosswurm, DRG Internet/catalog marketing director. Rosswurm has led a successful Internet marketing effort at DRG for more than a dozen years, initiating and employing a wide array of effective techniques to create robust Internet sales and programs that are currently providing the company with more than half a billion customer touch points per year.
Specific examples of each element of Web campaigns and initiatives will be demonstrated, along with discussions of cost and measures of success.
Ambro.com has worked with hundreds of clients to help accelerate advertising revenue growth, working with media companies to customize training to precisely serve the needs of sales staffs selling local and national media, including Internet, television and print.
Before establishing the company, Ambrose was vice president and publisher of Child magazine at the New York Times Magazine Group. Under his leadership, Child was named one of Adweek's 10 hottest magazines for two consecutive years.
From 1983 until 1987, he served in several executive management positions at Hearst Magazines Division, first at House Beautiful, and finally as director of corporate advertising. As director, he led marketing, sales and administrative management to multi-magazine advertising packages for Hearst's largest and most important clients, running approximately 3,500 advertising pages per year.
As a leader in innovative Internet publishing and marketing, DRG has built an interactive community of crafters that is among the largest group of engaged crafters in the nation.
