DRG launches new kit clubs
DRG will launch two new special-interest kit clubs in July.

/Indiana News Articles/ - BERNE, IN, May 25, 2008 — DRG, publisher of nationally known magazines and books, and creator of special-interest continuity kit clubs, has developed two new kit clubs, SimplyBeads Kit-of-the-Month and Annie's Hook & Needle Kit. The new clubs will launch in July 2008.

The DRG editorial and marketing departments are currently pursuing an aggressive plan to grow the continuity division of the company, with plans to develop a variety of new kit concepts in the coming years. The new kits will build on the success of the company's existing kit clubs, which include Creative Girls, Creative Woman Kit-of-the-Month, PaperWorks Kit-of-the-Month and Young Woodworkers.

In early 2008, four new kits were tested, including Simply Beads Kit-of-the-Month, Annie's Hook & Needle Kit, CardMaker Kit-of-the-Month and Christmas Ornament Kit-of-the-Month. Simply Beads and Annie's Hook & Needle clubs were the strong favorites. CardMaker and Christmas Ornament kits also had positive test results, and are projected to launch in 2009.
Creative Girls Club was the first kit club successfully created and marketed by DRG. It began in 2001. Designed as a way to introduce girls to a wide variety of crafting techniques, Creative Girls Club targets girls 7 to 12 years-of-age. Girls receive kits by mail every six weeks.

Following the success of Creative Girl's Club, DRG introduced a second kit, Creative Woman Kit-of-the-Month Club, which launched in 2002. The club is similar to the girl's club, but with projects developed at an adult level.

In 2004, DRG introduced a third kit club, called PaperWorks Kit-of-the-Month. Each PaperWorks kit contains several sheets of cardstock, coordinating paper and an assortment of embellishments. Also included in each kit is a project sheet that allows crafters to choose whether to create a two-page scrapbook layout or a variety of cards, tags and bookmarks.

Young Woodworker kit club launched in the summer of 2007, designed to develop woodworking skills in boys and girls ages 7 through 12. Kits are delivered by mail every six weeks with all the pre-cut wood and necessary nails and fasteners to complete the enclosed wood project.

All of the DRG kits are designed to be convenient and cost effective, arriving by mail with all the necessary ingredients. Each existing kit has a corresponding Web site, available through the DRG site. Web sites for the new kits will be available soon.

DRG publishes special interest consumer magazines, books and related products sold direct to consumers through catalogs and the Internet and through wholesale and trade channels.

DRG's publishing division encompasses leading brands that include Annie's Attic, Clotilde, House of White Birches and The Needlecraft Shop.
