This year's Summit will feature keynote speaker Kristian Darigan, VP Cause Branding at Cone, Inc. in Boston. Cone, Inc. is the leading cause-marketing consulting firm in the nation.

Local business leaders are encouraged to attend this event to hear how creating brand personality by supporting a cause can energize their corporate image, enhance employee morale, and build customer loyalty.

Kristian Darigan has led the creation of many of the nation's most critically acclaimed campaigns for Dell, Sprint PCS, Gillette, Wells Fargo, Make a Wish Foundation, Microsoft, and others. She has received national awards for her creation of the "Go Red for Women" campaign for the American Heart Association and Macy's, raising awareness about women's heart health.

Make a Difference Michiana will be honoring Good Corporate Citizens at the Summit event. Fifteen local businesses have been nominated by nonprofit organizations for their support of each agency's mission through innovative partnerships. Three businesses will be selected and honored with Good Corporate Citizenship Awards.

The Philanthropy Summit, a luncheon event, will begin at 11:30 - 1:00, at the Century Center in South Bend, IN. A nonprofit expo will be held prior to the luncheon from 11:00 - 11:30. Thirty nonprofit organizations from the region will be exhibiting to attendees of the Philanthropy Summit.
